Carlisle Mencap are helping to deliver Connect to Work.

Connect to Work is a new employment support programme for people with a disability, those with health conditions and people with complex barriers to employment, to find sustainable work. It’s a free and voluntary programme offering personalised 1-to-1 employment support using the proven "Place, Train and Maintain" model - placing people into a real job first, then offering the training and support needed to succeed.

The Connect to Work programme is for people across Cumbria who may:

  • be managing a health condition or disability
  • face challenges returning to work, or
  • need extra help to get started in work.
