Singing the blues!
Sun, 16th February 2020 (3.30pm)
Old Fire Station, Peter Street, Carlisle
THE OLD Fire Station's house band Redfish will take centre stage in the next of the popular Blues Jam series at the music and arts venue in Peter Street, Carlisle - and they are kindly allowing Carlisle Mencap to use this afternoon of great musical entertainment to raise vital funds!
The Blues Jam monthly events take place on Sunday afternoons and are a big hit with young and not-so young alike. The family-friendly events feature some great blues music from artists like Redfish, as well as impromptu 'jam' sessions with people from the audience who get up on stage to sing or place an instrument - or both!
Carlisle Mencap will be raising money on the day through collection tins and also our brand new 'Name The Rabbit' competition! Following on from the success of our 'Name The Elephant' competition last year, we now have a big fluffy toy bunny to be won. Again, £1 a go to guess its name.
The event at the Old Fire Station on Sunday February 16 sees the doors open at 3.30pm with the show starting at 4pm. Tickets cost £6 and are available at the McGrew's Bar at the Old Fire Station or on the door.
So make sure you and your family and friends get along for a fab afternoon of music and fundraising fun!
