Be healthy - join the Learning Disability Register

If you have a learning disability you can get extra support when visiting your local doctor or GP surgery - all you have to do is add your name to the Learning Disability Register. Read on to find out more!

Carlisle Mencap is urging people with a learning disability to get their names on the Learning Disability Register and is giving its full support to the project which is part of national Mencap's Treat Me Well campaign.

It's not always easy going down to your local GP surgery and talking to your local doctor if you have a learning disability. But by joining the register, you will get:

* Extra support when visiting your doctor/GP surgery - including making an appointment
* Support to understand your doctor and the information you are given
* More time to talk about how you are feeling
* You may also be able to get an annual health check.

So don't delay - get your name on the register NOW. Be happy, be healthy - and don't miss out. Go to:

And if you are someone with a learning disability and would like more advice regarding Covid-19 vaccinations, please go to:
