Walk across the water with us - there's still time!

We still have places available for our first major sponsored event since lockdown - the Guided Walk Across Morecambe Bay Sands on June 5th.

Posted Thursday, 29th April 2021

Carlisle Mencap's first major fundraising event since the Covid crisis struck takes place on Saturday June 5th at 2.30pm with a sponsored Guided Walk Across Morecambe Bay Sands. We are grateful that some people have already signed up for it but there are still some spaces left.

So please let PHIL TAYLOR know BY 5PM TUESDAY MAY 18 - we have extended the deadline to give you more time! on 07341 865382 or email phil.taylor@carlislemencap.co.uk if you want to reserve a space (s).

The Carlisle Mencap walk sets off at 2.30pm on June 5th from Arnside in south Cumbria and finishes at Kent's Bank, Lancashire. Depending on the route, the walk will last three to four hours. Anyone is reasonable health - and can walk up to four hours unaided - can take part.

It costs £60 MINIMUM per person - flat fee, payable on the day or just after, or sponsorship, or a combination of both, with monies to be paid in by June 15th. If you require a sponsorship form email PHIL at the above email address. They can be posted to you too. You can bring your dog - which must be kept on a lead at all times - for an extra £5 fee.

Coach travel available departing from our Grace Little Centre in north Carlisle and returning from Kent's Bank. Please let us know if you require coach travel to reserve a space.

So why not enjoy one of Britain's most spectacular walks AND raise vital funds for Carlisle Mencap at the same time.

PLEASE NOTE: No wheelchairs, pushchairs, bicycles or unaccompanied people under 16. Walks may be cancelled due to severe weather conditions or any new Covid-19 restrictions.

THANK YOU for your support ...
