SCHOOLS are closing but our Cumbria Autism Family Support Project team have some great ideas and links regarding home schooling and activities.

OUR Cumbria Autism Family Support Project team member Nicola Brockbank has put together some links to activities you can get your child to do from home.

Says Nicola: "Please email me any questions you might have. I am a qualified teacher (although I have been out of the loop for a long time) and I did home educate my son for two years, so I might be able to come up with an answer that is useful. And although I can’t promise that, I will try my hardest."

"Please also remember that this is the perfect time to involve your children in cooking, budgeting, doing chores, learning how to use the washing machine etc. it’s all learning.  All the things that they will need to know in the future. Don’t beat yourself up about doing all the subjects your child would have been doing in school, your children will all have different interests. And make sure you try and do physical activities as well."

Nicola's email address is and below is the list of links to activities you may find useful.
