Short Breaks in Cumbria - your views wanted
Cumbria's SEND Local Offers is after the views of parents and carers about Short Breaks for children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Parents, carers, children and young people are being asked to work together to come up with recommendations for Short Breaks provision in Cumbria. To get your views, sessions are being held on the following days: Tuesday March 3, 12.30pm to 2.30pm: Curwen Room, Workington Library, Vulcans Lane, Workington, CA14 2ND. Wednesday March 4, 9.30am to 11.30am: Green Gate Children's Centre, Greengate Street, Barrow-in-Furness LA14 1BG. Thursday March 12, 10.30am to 12.30pm: Margaret Foster Meeting Room, Carlisle Library, Carlisle CA3 8NX. Wednesday March 25, 10am to 12.30pm: Community Room, Kendal Fire and Rescue Station LA9 4RH. Cumbria's Local Offer want to hear about: What you think about Short Breaks; What would you like local Offer to change. What you would like to keep the same. Ideas for improvement. Your experiences. These Short Breaks are services which are available for eligible children with special educational needs and disabilities. They include: Daytime care in the homes of disabled children or elsewhere; overnight care in the homes of disabled children or elsewhere; educational or leisure activities for disabled children outside their homes; services available to assist carers in the evenings, at weekends and during the school holidays.
