Conferences for parents/carers
Cumbria SEND Improvement Programme is hosting four mini-conferences in January for parents/carers.

* Autistic Spectrum Disorder Diagnosis and Support
* Preparing for Adulthood
* Education, Health and Care Plans.
The four mini-conferences all take place between 10.30am and 2.30pm and lunch will be provided. They are FREE to attend. They take place at:
CARLISLE - January 17, People First Conference Centre; WHITEHAVEN - January 22, Whitehaven Golf Club; KENDAL - January 24, Castle Green Hotel; BARROW-IN-FURNESS - January 31, The Forum.

Dan Barton, the assistant director education & skills at Cumbria County Council and lead officer for the SEND Improvement Programme, said: "The whole aim of these conferences is to start talking face-to-face with as many people as possible about what needs to improve and how we can work together to make that happen.
"We're clear that learning from your experience is so important if we're going to create services that really meet people's needs. I hope to see you there."
