Activity Breaks funded by BBC Children In Need
WE'VE got some great Activity Breaks lined up for this year - fully funded by BBC Children In Need! They are aimed at children aged 8 to 18 with learning disabilities and/or autism. The trips lined up so far are:
JANUARY 17-19: Bendrigg Trust. This break will be at a residential outdoor centre based at Old Hutton near Kendal. The trust specialises in activities and pursuits for people with special needs and learning disabilities.
MARCH 6-8: The Kepplewray Centre. This outdoor activity centre is at Broughton-in-Furness close by the beautiful Duddon Valley in the south of the Lake District National Park. The centre tailor-makes a wide range of exciting and challenging outdoor activities for people of all ages and abilities.
FEBRUARY 14-16 & MAY 15-17: Rock UK, Whithaugh Park. This is a residential centre situated in the unspoilt landscape of the Scottish Borders countryside near Newcastleton. The centre is a popular choice for group accommodation, outdoor activities and mountain biking. Perfect for great days out in Scotland, church retreats, school trips and youth group weekends away.
DATE TBC: City Break in Manchester - including a trip to Old Trafford to see Manchester United in action!
